Just received my fluidity yesterday and after one workout…WOW! Love it!

  2. Jessica says:

    Hello Fluidity-

I love the program! I just read about the 12-week challenge on facebook, but because of my other workouts and and my going to ballet class, I am going with the following scedule: Fluidity 1 (sometimes 2) time a week, ballet 2 times a week, pilates 2 or 3 times a week and cycling 1 time a week. I have a healthy diet and do get plenty of sleep. Is this a recipe for success? Any feedback/comments would be helpful! Thanks so much!

    • Ada says:

I’ve looked everywhere for the 12 week challenge mentioned, but I can’t find it anywhere!?
I am a beginner and would like to take the fast track while I’m highly motivated! Can anyone direct me? Thank you!

      • You can find more information about the 12-Week Challenge on our Fluidity Fitness Facebook page – under the Notes tab. It’s a GREAT program to follow for any level and if you stick w/it, you will see amazing results!

I FORGET TO ADD THAT I’VE SEEN FLUDITY BAR ON EBAY FOR $108.00 PLUS, WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT?

  4. Tameka says:

I just ordered my Fluidity package on Friday and I can’t wait to get it. Any advice for a newbie?

    • Hi Tameka – As you start out, just keep in mind that proper form (particularly neutral pelvis) is more important than the number of reps or how high you lift your leg so if you find yourself falling out of form, just take a break and then reset yourself. Don’t rely on momentum…in fact, if you’re in proper form, the actual movement is small. (We like to say minimal movement leads to maximum results.) You might also find that you’re a beginner in one exercise and more advanced in another; for this reason, we demonstrate beginner, intermediate and advanced modifications for every exercise in every DVD workout so always work at the level that’s right for you. We also recommend that you allow 48 hours between Fluidity workouts to allow your muscles adequate recovery time – doing so will also maximize your results. Good luck. You’re going to LOVE it!

      • Pat says:

I too am new to Fluidity. Just got it this week. It isn’t as easy as it looks. I really like it. And I am just questioning your 48 hours between workouts. Can I use one of the other videos (butt/thigh) on the alternate days?

      • Ideally, we recommend that you allow 48 hours between Fluidity workouts to allow your muscles adequate recovery time; doing so will actually maximize your results. When you strength train (as in Fluidity), you make small tears in your muscle tissue. Your body’s process of repairing these small tears creates muscle and expends calories; this process, known as the “Afterburn”, is the reason you continue to burn calories for up to 48 hours after a Fluidity workout -compared to just two hours after a cardio workout. We recommend doing cardio on alternate days. That said, if you do want to challenge yourself with Fluidity workouts on consecutive days then Fluidity Seat & Thigh is a great choice – at 20 minutes long, it’s short, but intense and a great way to accelerate your lower body results (also a great workout when you’re short on time!)

    • Ellen says:

just got mine this week. Second time Ive used it. I m in so much pain I can hardly move. But Ive been a couch potao for so long. Im 58 and need to do this. But I plan to give it the month and do it 3 times a week Take it easy do the beginners and take it serious.

  5. Nathalieb says:

    Hi,

I just received my fluidity bar, and Im very happy. I just would like to ask for how long are you supposed to do the beginners dvd?

I know is recomended 3 times per week, but when would be the right time to switch to the intermediate dvd?

    Please advice.

    Thanks,

    • We generally recommend that you move to the next level once you’ve mastered the Intermediate modification (this would be the position Michelle demonstrates in our Instructional DVDs.) You can alternate the workouts until you feel comfortable w/just the Intermediate DVD and/or until you are ready to move up to Advanced. Our Intermediate DVD also introduces Arm Work with Bands!

  6. Karen says:

I just placed my order for Fluidity. I am really hoping I will be able to do the moves and work my way to the hidden body I know is underneath all this fat. I have purchased a lot of programs from infomercials over the years and with all of the years and money I have spent, I still have not reached my goals. I am so hoping Fluidity is the answer.

    • You will not be dissapointed! If you stick w/it, you will see results. And if you have any questions along the way, please let us know and keep us posted!

    • Trisha says:

Karen, I am exactly right where you are in this post on Nov 12, 2011. I’m wondering how you progressed. I want to believe I can do it, but am so unsure of myself it paralyzes me.

  7. Robyn says:

I have had the fluidity bar for a few months now. In the beginning, I did it three times a week and loved it! Great work out, I felt more tired and sweaty after one workout than I have in a cardio work out… which is great!… anyway, I got caught up with work and didn’t seem to have time to do it. But now, I am looking to get back into fluidity! However, I just feel like I am not doing the leg positions correctly, specifically fold over seat work. How do I know if I am holding a neutral pelvis? I often tend to feel the work out in the opposite leg… hmmm. What am I doing wrong?

Also, Do you think it is possible that I can have a lean looking body by February 2012?! I am looking to go on a vacation, and I would really like to slim down. Any advice on how to achieve that with the fluidity bar?? Thanks!!

    • DeAndra says:

I’ve also noticed this same prolem when I am working out. I find that I feel the work in my opposite leg, and often I am not sore after a workout….so I’m wondering if what I am doing is incorrect. Any suggestions would be helpful.
      Thanks

      • You should feel the work in your opposite leg because these are whole-body, weightbearing exercises! You may not find yourself feeling as sore you would with traditional weight training because stretching minimizes soreness as does working your body the way nature intended. In Fluidity, you execute whole-body, weightbearing movements in a neutral pelvis position allowing your body to naturally recruit all of the large and small muscles it functionally requires to perform the exercise. When you train this way, you develop strength proportionately and you develop whole body function. Conversely, in traditional weight training, you isolate a muscle and therefore most likely overload the muscle relative to surrounding muscles creating misalignment and muscle sorenesss. That said, you should find the workout challenging so if you’re not, please let us know. Proper form is definitely more important than the number of reps or how you lift your leg!

      • Melanie says:

I feel that some of the exercises are so difficult I can still barely do them (i.e. pretzel, and flat back exercises) but then others seem too easy now (standing inner thigh exercises and a few of the flat back exercisies – even at advanced level). Is there a way to make the ones that almost feel too easy now more challenging?

      • Melanie says:

Sorry, I meant the pretzel and seated fold over exercises with the ball are still so challenging I can barely do them.

      • Valerie Porter says:

I dont feel so sore after workouts either, but I really think it’s due to the wonderful stretching after each exercise! I started in Jan.,…had some extended family issues, started again in Feb.! My three times a week, along with cutting out colas and making better selections at meals,….has me 151 from 165!!! I still enjoy comfort food if a reasonable portion,….and all of the sudden the pant legs started feeling loose in my thighs! I’m hooked on Fluidity,….I love the quick easy set up and then in the shower—no driving here or there for a workout! I still can’t do the flat back seated exercise completely like they do on the video OR the abdominals completely, but I keep trying and know that one day I will be doing them,….I feel the muscles strengthening and looking leaner in the mirror, that’s proof enough for me!
        !

    • You will definitely feel Fold Over in the standing leg as it’s a whole-body, weightbearing exercise. This is a good thing! In this position, you want to relax your shoulders so they’re level with your hips forming a flat back. Draw your tailbone to the ceiling to form a small curve in your lower back. This is neutral pelvis and you should maintain this position throughout the full range of motion; in other words, don’t lift your leg higher if doing so compromises your neutral pelvis. You may find that when you lift your leg, the hip on the side of that lifted leg pops up – don’t let it. Instead, lower your hip so your pelvis is again level and lift your leg from there. As for having a lean body for February 2012, absolutely! We generally recommend two 30-minute Fluidity workouts a week to start increasing the frequency and duration of your workouts as your fitness level allows. We also recommend adding cardio on alternate days especially if you are looking to lose weight. For cardio, we recommend walking, running and/or swimming as these are natural forms of movement and complementary to Fluidity. Also check out our Fluidity Guide to Healthy Eating for inspiration and please keep us posted on your progress!

This workout is absolutely perfect for me!!!! My body gains muscle mass very quickly which makes traditional workouts bulking me up… I am currently following the real class DVD, and I do this 3 times a week… I would do everyday if I could!!! In between fluidity I have found that my yoga/pilates workouts are very very boring now. Since running, and numerous ellipitcals make my legs huge… Do u have any suggestions for filling the gap between my newly found love the fluidity bar? Thanks LOVE IT!!!!

    • Lisa says:

Please excuse grammar and spelling of prior post using ipad2 for the first time :-/

Weather is finally breaking where we are,…walking is my in-between thing! Fresh air, enjoying the company of my husband or a friend,…brisk but no power walking,…great on the joints,…and I’m leaving the rest of the results to Fluidity! At 53, my highly motivated personality has gotten a whole lot more “casual”!! 🙂 Enjoying more,…it may seem lazy to others, but I’m expecting that’s not what people are going to think when I’m dropping the pounds and leaning up!!! 🙂

  9. amy says:

I recently purchased the fluidity bar and so far have completed two workouts. I am VERY happy with it and have already noticed back pain disappearing, hooray!! However, I have a question about the AB exercises. I am one of those weird (ok not weird) people who tend to bulk up when doing any kind of weight training (hence the purchasing of the fluidity bar) for this reason I also tend to shy away from doing ab exercises as well. If I follow the ones in the videos, am I going to see desired results and how long before I can expect to see them, if a time frame can be given?

    Thanks

    • Ditto the hooray on your back pain disappearing! As with our workout in general, you should start to feel results immediately and see results in about 10 days. If you’re someone who builds muscle easily, you may start to see results even sooner. The beauty of Fluidity, however, is that it will develop your whole body strength and flexiblity without building bulk. You’ll get strong, but you’ll also look longer and leaner!

  10. Lorri says:

I’ve been watching the Fluidity infomercials for about 15 weeks. Having said that, right before I was ready to pull the trigger on purchasing the bar, I found out I was pregnant.

I know that pregnancy isn’t the time to start new fitness routines, but wondered since it seems pretty LOW impact, what the issues might be in doing Fluidity while pregnant. I’m 12 weeks along.

    • First, congratulations! Second, while Fluidity is zero impact, we do not recommend Fluidity if you are pregnant – especially if you are new to the program. That said, we highly recommend it as a great way for new moms to get their body back in shape.

  11. Carie Cottongim says:

Can someone please tell me the correct position (notch) my bar should be in? I have it locked at notch 9 and I am 5’4 3/4″ tall.

    • We recommend that you adjust bar height to your hip height or slightly lower (about 2″ below your hip bone) if you are less flexible. It should basically be at a level where you feel most comfortable and are able to maintain proper form.

      • Sue says:

There were no directions on how to set my bar. However there was a card with a picture that said the bar sets up in 4 easy steps. So I am assuming we are missing the info. When you we recommend the bar height 2″ below hip bone are you talking about the trochanter ? Is there a link to a set up demonstration ?

      • LeeLuu says:

I set up my bar just below my belly button. I noticed that in the video, the instructors all had their bars come just above their head when sitting under it. I sat down and checked and sure enough, my head just cleared the underside of the bar just like the instructors had theirs set. I am 5’2″ . I have my bar with the “7” showing. Hope that helps.

  12. LaShonda says:

I did my first workout today. When I first finished the beginner portion of the Dvd I thought wow, I can do this for sure. It felt easy, now about 20 minutes later, I can tell I worked some muscles. I am so excited about Fluidity! How many days a week should I use the bar? Is every day ok?

    • We recommend that you allow 48 hours between Fluidity workouts to allow yours muscles adequate recovery time (doing so will actually maximize your results!)In Fluidity, proper form is more important than the number of repetitions or how high you lift your leg, so focus on proper form in each workout. As your fitness level allows, you can increase the frequency of your workouts keeping in mind it’s always best to allow those 48 hours in between workouts.

    • Anna says:

I use mine 5 days a week, Intermediate (Intermediate) it’s been 2 weeks and I’m down 5lbs and my jeans are getting big. I can see a big difference!!!

  13. Anna says:

I’ve had my bar 1 1/2 weeks, I’ve worked out 8 times including today and I must say I’m so impressed!!! In this amount of time my smallest jean size is getting too big! It’s challenging, I had to move into intermediate (I was doing Supreme 90 prior), and each time I work out I feel much stronger. The bar is nice quality and worth the money IMO. I can’t wait to see what my body looks like in one month! Bikini here I come!

  14. Lavonne says:

I have had this for several years and never gave it a try-decided to begin working my core for strength today-still need to find my videos. I understand how to adjust the bar for height. I do not know how to lock the bar to stand upright on its own. Is their a video to show me this either on u-tube or a link on the computer. It has to be simple….I just haven’t been able to keep it upright without me holding it up. Thanks for your assistance. I am anxious to start doing what I have put off for a long time-dedicatetime to work my core and see some results.

  15. Vivian says:

i just ordered mine and i am looking forward to it. i’ve been doing different workouts and i’ve found that im not seeing the weight loss results that i want because apparently i build musle quick ugh. i’ve wanted to know how people have made changes to their diets and how can i better my results.

    • We generally recommend a whole foods diet eliminating bread, sugar and alcohol. See our FluidityFit Guide to Health Eating for inspiration. You might also want to check out our Fluidity Fitness Facebook page. Under the Notes tab, you’ll find more information on our Fluidity 12-Week Challenge – it’s a simple and highly effective program to kickstart your routine (and your metabolism); if you stick w/it, you’ll transform your body to look longer and leaner from head to toe – front and back! Many of the real people you see on our website followed this same (or similar) program.

  16. Karen says:

I just received the Fluidity Bar and have completed 3 workouts. I am using the Beginner DVD and can do most of the exercises at the intermediate level with the exception of the flat back exercises. Those are killers!! Do you have any advice on how to properly perform these exercises and how quickly I may be able to see improvement in this area? I am really enjoying the workouts so far and have been surprised how quickly I work up a sweat!! I am very tempted to do the exercises everyday but have refrained from doing so. But given the fact that I WANT to do them everyday says a lot about the program. I can’t wait to begin seeing the physical changes. I already feel as though my posture has improved and my legs feel stronger. I am very excited about this program. Thanks Fluidity!!

Hello… I am seriously thinking to try this product……my concern is I’m overweight, have stiff joints….in spite of that I am looking to live a more full life. you only have one testament of a lady my age with similar weight issues…..are there any more 50 plus overweight ladies out there that have had success?

    • Sherry says:

Did you end up purchasing the fluidity bar? Did anyone answer you. Just wondering how the fluidity bar has worked for you. I am fifty and overweight and just purchased it. Have not started yet but getting ready to…

      • michelle says:

hi sherry – i saw your question asking about anyone over 50 who’s overweight and has stiff joints. that sounds like me. i’m 53 and have a bad knee and shoulder, along with the creakiness that comes from being in my 50s.

i had lost 15 pounds doing a combination of the fluidity bar, my treadmill and diet. i was working out about 5 days a week and feeling good. i had another 15 – 20 pounds to lose in order to reach my goal weight. however, i changed jobs a few months ago and now struggle to find the time to work out. weight is creeping back up. i notice a difference in how i feel. the fluidity exercises definitely helped to keep me limber and not feeling as stiff. i need to dust off the bar and get back on it. it’s a nice feeling when your clothes get looser. i also used a (free) phone app called “lose it”, which helped me track calories and exercise. i found it to be really helpful. (there are a lot of different apps out there that do the same thing.)

you mentioned that you haven’t bought your bar yet. i was hesitant to spend the full amount for a brand new bar. i was able to find a used fluidity bar, along with the 3 dvds and bands on craigslist for a reasonable price. i love a bargain. just wanted to pass the thought along.

        good luck.

      • michelle says:

oops! sorry, sherry – i mis-read your comment about purchasing the bar. i thought you hadn’t bought it yet. so disregard my comment about buying in my previous reply to you.

      • Felicia says:

        Hi Sherry,
I purchased the Fluidity Bar earlier this year, I’m 57.
At first I found some of the exercises difficult, (even though I had been doing Pilates) some easy, now, I’m not going to say it’s a breeze every time I do it, but I am much stronger and pleased with the results.
If you want an example of how strong I have become, I have just replaced siding on the bottom 5 rows of my house, besides other repairs by myself, and in the process of painting it. At the end of the day, I feel fine.:)
The most difficult part is being consistent, but once you feel the benefits of the Bar, you know you’d be a fool to miss a workout!:)
        Hope this helps.

  18. katherine says:

I just completed my first work out using the fluidity bar, and I love it! I’m hoping to get mysef back in shape and feeling good. 5 kids have taken quite a toll on my body. 🙂

  19. Maria says:

I just received my FB I am so impressed with this package, it is of great quality which was surprising for a home unit. I did my first workout, it was tough. I was in modified level, but I love it. I am so glad I made this purchase. I use to dance as a child and can really see the benefits, with diet and cardio I hope to drop the 50 pounds I have gained. I hope you all post often so we can support each other. Good luck.

  20. Bev says:

Just starting with the Fluidity Bar and have a question about some of the ab work. I am a breast cancer survivor and had a reconstructive surgery called a TRAM-flap, which uses the rectus abdominus muscles to create a new breast mound. When I had the surgery, they told me I would never be able to do sit-ups again. Didn’t seem like a great loss at the time, as I didn’t really understand just how important those muscles really are! LOL Anyway, is there a way to modify ab work (the seated leg lift work… I literally cannot pick my legs up in that position) to strengthen my core???

  21. becki says:

I have just ordered the fluidity bar from HSN I am very excited to recieve it!!! I have lost 72 lbs but I have gained about 40 lbs back I’m not happy with myself and I’m ready for a change. I also had back surgery over a year ago and lost mass amounts of muscle I am hoping this helps me gain my strength and confidence back 🙂

  22. Christine says:

I just received my FB on Monday and I love it. I have found an exercise routine I can stick with, after looking for years to get this 100+ pounds off. Is there anyone that has had success losing 50 pounds or more with FB on here?

  23. bachan96701 says:

UPS should be delivering my Fluidity system today – I am so excited! I have been taking a pilates mat/bar class for a month. I was up late one night and saw the infomercial and recognized the different movements. I am excited to begin…any words of wisdom?

  24. Phyllis says:

I got my Fluidity yesterday – there is one exercise that I can’t seem to do. I’m not sure what it’s called but you sit straight up against the mat and then raise your legs and move then in and out. Okay, I can do this but not if I push my back against the upright portion of the mat. If I don’t scoot my behind out a bit my legs are not coming off the mat. What am I missing? She makes a point of your back being flat against the upright portion of the mat but my legs will not come off the ground in that position. Help – I want to do this right – I feel the burn everywhere but my abs and that is my main problem area. I’m wondering if having problems with this particular exercise is what is keeping me from feeling the burn in my abs.

    • Barb says:

I have the same problem with that exercise. I think I’m in the right position, but I just can’t lift my legs off the mat. I try VERY hard, and afterwards my lower back hurts so much I can barely walk. I’m fine with all the other moves, and I want to continue, but I need some clarification on what I might be doing wrong. I just got my FB two weeks ago and am doing the beginner moves.

  25. Tracey says:

I just got my fluidity & have done my first workout. Is not easy!!! But I feel good. I didn’t just get this for me I also got it for my 3 daughters, 2 of which are in gymnastics and 1 in ballet. I am hoping this will also help them be more flexible and is something we can do together.
I have taken before pictures, my weight & measurements. I will keep up with them weekly and post how things are going.
Right now I’m 41 years old, 5’4″, 180.8lbs. My upper arms are 14 1/4″, my chest is 41 1/2″, my waist is 38″, my hips are 47″ & my right thigh is 27″ & my left thigh is 26 1/2″.

  26. Niniau says:

Aloha! I just received my FB yesterday and did the first beginner workout today – i LOVE it! I’m more sedentary than active so the workout really kicked b–t! For me, I enjoyed the movements and made me think back to my childhood when I used to dream of being a dancer. I don’t enjoy cardio workouts and lifting weights only bulked me up. I’m looking forward to seeing how I look after 4 weeks!

  27. Lajuana Brooks says:

I have had my FB about 3 weeks and I have been using it for 2 weeks. At first, it was hard for me to keep up but I can say that I am catching on now. I got discouraged at first and thought about sending it back, but I feel my core getting stronger and I do have less back pain then before I started. So I guess I will keep it…..

  28. Maxine says:

I’m thinking of investing in this system, but I’ve heard that results aren’t as good if you’re over 5’7″ tall (I’m 5’11”). Any thoughts on this?

  29. Stephanie M. Wilson says:

I never received the other two videos with my barre. I’ve paid in full and would like the rest of the package please.

  30. Hubert Garnett says:

Hello everyone, my name is Hubert Garnett. I purchased the Fluidty initially for my wife Saundra, but I have not gotten her involved with it yet. My question for you is does, will Fluidty work for men like myself. I am a pastor, I am 57 years old, I weigh about 355 lbs, I have type 2 diabetes taking insulin, and don’t want to go out like this. Can you help?!

  31. Janvier says:

My story is different from most of the ladies who’ve purchased and are using F.B. . I was born male and after 55 years of living this way I’m in the process to correct a pre-existing medical condition I’ve have since my birth. Being transgender comes with it’s own set of challenges as my physical outlook needs to project a more feminine physique. While I can do some changes by way of hormone treatments, hair treatment(s), clothing and (S.R.O.) Orchiectomy Surgery (part 1) which will happen on September 6, 2013, (F.F.F.S.) Female Feminization Facial Surgeries and (S.R.S.) Sex Reassignment Surgery (part 2), which is the final operation to womanhood.

The other parts involve real physical exercise done in a way the complements a true female shape. However I use to body build, which means my muscle development will show as I change. Now I’ve had my left shoulder and knee damage and right knee and lower back damage. Going to a gym won’t work and could cause to more injuries and would not help with my female sculpting of my body. Having the best of both worlds would be best for me having the muscle tone yet showing a more feminine side of me.

This is where F.B. does 4 jobs in one for me. (1) Retraining my exercise routine to focus on female sculpting for my health and longevity. (2) Doing low impact exercises to protect and strengthen those damaged joins and lower back. (3) Makes me feel like a woman with every Water Sky, pull-Up, Pretzel or Flat Back I do. (4) Gives me the confidence and the figure to be proud that I will soon be all woman at long last. This is my Christmas gift to the new feminine me, which was a long way coming.

  32. Marilyn says:

I received my Fluidity on December 3rd. I’ve been doing the Beginner workout every other day (except for once when I pulled a groin muscle attempting to go from beginner to intermediate). Now I’m experiencing problems with one of my knees. I think I should probably back off for a few days to allow my knee/leg to heal. Any thoughts from anyone? Thanks.

  33. Cindy Ponder says:

I have a lot of trouble lifting my legs doing flat back. Any suggestions?

    • Flat Back is one of our most challenging exercises as it targets muscles in the back as well as the abdominals, the hip flexors, and other pelvic stabilizers. As is generally true of Fluidity, proper form is more important than how high you lift your leg. Always make sure that there is no space between your back and the backboard. Pull your navel into your spine and really use your arms to push up on the bar to create the “lift” in your legs. If you are not strong enough to lift the legs, simply slide your legs along the mat in the direction of the movement. By doing so, you’ll develop core strength and ultimately be able to lift your legs.

  34. DeAnna says:

I ordered my FB yesterday and very excited..just hope i can do this. I suffer from alot of muscle spasms and have found other workouts simply violent to my muscles and was in worse shape then i was before i started pain-wise. Second problem i have is tachycardia.. those high impact fast moving workouts not only got my heart racing in a frightening way and set off migraines, but it left me grabbing for my inhaler due to asthma. They were just painful all the way around and after two weeks had to give it up and the repeated failures only lead to depression. I have arrhythmia’s which the cardiologist relates to being out of shape and overweight. I also have fybromylagia, autoimmune lupus and a blood clotting disorder due to Factor V that caused me to have a stroke a few years ago due to a bloodclot…this is when they found the genetic blood disorder. My muscle strength is horrible because i simply find myself inactive more times then not…but exercise could dramatically improve and benefit all of this health problems the doctors told me..so off i went over the past few years to try this and try that to only find failure because of my limitations and i will only be 43 next month! Then i saw this product on TV and for the first time i think i might have found my saving grace! Now i had given up for almost a year..just threw my hands in the air…i found myself crying yesterday morning feeling physically ugly looking at myself in the mirror after a morning shower. I felt weak, fragile and just consumed with physical pain knowing as my heart was racing for no reason i was a ticking time bomb…but what to do given my previous failures? i went over and layed on the bed and sobbed feeling unattractive to my husband..who tells me i am beautiful always in his eyes…but i know what i look like and it’s not attractive. I got a layer that has now formed on my back hanging, dimples badly all over my legs and butt..massive love handles..and a belly that causes folks to say oh are you pregnant? I started praying asking God for help and direction and wiped my eyes and started flipping through the tv channels to calm myself down as i was panting soo hard from crying and tried to calm myself down… that is when i stumbled across this product on a tv channel that had just started..it grabbed my attention immediately. It looked promising and what i had been looking for…something gentle and easy on the muscles without jerking and pulling violently..calming and slow paced without getting my asthma and heart all worked up leaving me lightheaded and dizzy from jumping around and making fast movements..with excitement i thought..could this be my saving grace!..my chance to feel like i can change this and actually BE ABLE TO DO IT!! i got so excited i ordered it and anxiously awaiting it’s arrival. I feel hope again….tears

  35. Hi~
I got my Fluidity Bar in ’03 or ’04 and loved it from the beginning. Then I went on to do Pilates and Hot Yoga Sculpt classes.
In November( about 5 weeks ago) I had an involved foot surgery & couldn’t do those workouts, so I got my Fluidity Bar & DVD’s out. I’m modifying the workout and they are so excellent!
Having done the Yoga & Pilates classes, it really drives home Michelle Austin’s expertise.
The Fluidity Bar is a timeless piece of equipment!

  36. Valerie Porter says:

I received my bar right before Christmas, 2012,…and January 1 was my “D-Day”- DO IT, Day! 🙂 Like other replies, I have done other exercise programs at home and away,…I LOVE THIS!! I don’t have to drive anywhere, it’s a quick setup, and the lesson seems to go so fast. I’ve only been at this for four sessions and feel results,…can’t wait till I can see some results. Just wanted you to know that Fluidity is here to stay,….I’m only doing the beginner,…and not until I’ve reached the advanced level of the beginner segment will I move on to the intermediate workout (kinda giving myself a surprise/reward down the road),…not wanting to rush this, but learning to do this right, and waningt to just be able to do some of these exercises like the FlatBack leg lift thingamajigs and the ab workout—!! Did anyone else just start out January 1, 2013?

    • We love that you love it! And you’re totally spot on to master proper form prior to moving up to the next level DVD. Proper form is far more important than how high you lift your leg or the number of repetitions.

    • Susan says:

Valerie, I’m starting my beginner series tomorrow! I need a buddy for encouragement and to help eachother keep up the momentum. I love Fluidity. Here’s my story: I am sooo excited to find the Fluidity Community. I’ve lost 30 pounds in the past 1.5 years using a great eating plan and a popular Cardio Pilates program.During that time, I was ready to step up my long and lean fitness program a notch and remembered how interested I had been in the Fluidity Infomercials. I purchased my bar about a year ago, but couldn’t find a forum. I have found that community is essential to maintaining momentum. I only used my Fluidity bar two or three times, because I loved the workout so much that I ignored the advice about waiting 48 hours between workouts (and I bounced during a stretch) totally rendering myself unable to do Fluidity for quite a while. I’ve maintained my weight loss and inch loss (30 some-odd inches) and am starting my official 8-week Fluidity workout plan in the AM. I really would like to find some buddies through the community to share milestones and encouragement with. I have 29 pounds to go. WIll alternate my Fluidity with the treadmill (20 minutes at 2.8 miles per hour = 1 mile), just to keep my heart strong, and burn some extra calories. I think Fluidity can do the rest. Someone come and join me! I need a Fluidity Friend! Would you like to be my buddy?

      • Deanna says:

Hi Susan I just found this forum and just got my bar this week! I think I am going to LOVE this workout! I noticed you were starting your 8 week plan several weeks ago. How is it going for you? I would love to find a buddy to follow this program with. Let me know if you are still on board. Deanna

      • Susan'sFluidityToo says:

Thanks for contacting me, Deanna, but I have been under the weather. Hope you are enjoying the workout as much as I was before having to stop. I hope to re-start in a couple of weeks. You will probably have made some great progress by then, so, keep pressing forward, and, ENJOY !! Even though I have been good about working out in the past (about 5 years ago), when I started Fluidity, I was surprised to discover that my muscles seem to be reacting more intensely than in the past. So, to me, that is a great sign that Fluidity is a THOROUGH workout — and, I can hardly wait to get started again.

  37. shaun says:

I have a slight knee injury..would the fluidity workout be advisable as a form of rehab?

    • Without knowing your specific knee condition, it is difficult to provide a recommendation to you. Fluidity is first and foremost, however, a rehabilitative movement that should not cause joint pain; in fact, it very often helps to protect the knee by strengthening the muscles around the joint. Because Fluidity engages your whole body using just the resistance of your own body weight, the movements will identify areas of your body that are weak and/or may bring to your attention an existing problem. We do recommend that you follow correct positioning and stop exercising and consult your doctor if a particular movement causes you pain.

  38. Donna says:

Is it alright to do the program more than one time a day? The problem I’m having is food…I loooove my sweet!!!

    • We actually recommend 48 hours between Fluidity workouts so that you allow your muscles adequate recovery time – doing so will maximize your results! We recommend you do your cardio on non-Fluidity days. A great DVD to add to your daily routine is Fluidity Stretch – it’s 26 minutes of pure stretching and a great way to help release tension in your body and increase your overall body awareness.

  39. Kimberly says:

I just ordered my bar and can’t wait to start.

  40. liz says:

Got my bar last week, immediately followed by a sinus infection. Can’t wait for the pressure to get out of my head so I can do the work out without feeling dizzy.
I am looking for a “buddy” to help keep me on track. I have gained about 75 pounds in the seven years and two kids since I got out of the military. I would like to get rid of it and start feeling good about myself again.
Anyone interested in tag-teaming this thing?

    • Vycha says:

Hi Liz, I got my bar a few months ago unfortunately it’s still in the box I injured my knee and just kept putting it off…Now it’s much better and I’m on track to start this week when I come back from vacation…would love to buddy up. Could use the accountability…

      • I am returning to Fluidity after having been off track for the past few years due to aa divorce and health concerns. I know that when I was doing the workout 2-3 times a week I had ecellent results. I injured my knee in 2008 but was able to use the bar with some modifications during physical therapy. Today was my first day back and I am doing the beginner workout shooting for twice a week. I plan on increasing to three days a week in 2 weeks if I can keep focused. I am 53, have four children, work full time at a physically demanding job, and live alone. I am giving it a go, so can you.

      • Susan'sFluidityToo says:

        Hi All,

I just started about a week ago because I am very SLOWLY re-starting my fitness program. Several years ago, I had lost and successfully kept weight off by excellent diet and good cardio,… but, then, went through some very difficult times, resulting in re-gaining a lot of the previous weight.
        😛

However, in spite of my setbacks, I am determined to have success, — not overnight, — just ONE-DAY-AT-A-TIME. And, I have the nerve to want to end up in better shape than before.

Fluidity appears to be the way to accomplish my goal for a TONED body. I am convinced that Fluidity is going to work wonders, and, I hope to be consistent. My plan is to do Beginner Fluidity 2-3 days per week (for resistance), and, walk on my mini-trampoline for 30 minutes on the alternate 2-3 days (for cardio) — with a maximum of 5-6 days of work-outs.

So far, I have only done 2 beginner workouts. Unfortunately, I strained a little too much and my left shoulder/arm is recovering. So, I will be taking it easy when I resume, in the next day or two, and, will probably use the easier version of some of the exercises.

I have quite a ways to go, but, it would be nice to connect, with one of more of you, for a least some degree of encouragement and accountability.

        Thanks much.

  41. Tiffany Meredith says:

I just ordered my bar yesterday morning. I am excited to start. Hoping that I can keep up with this and not get bored as I have in the past. Purchasing the bar is going to be a big investment for me, but I’ve never made an actual exercise investment in myself. So fingers crossed that this works or I’ll have to explain to my husband why I have to spend the money to ship it back.

  42. linda says:

Hi, I have had my fluidity bar for a few years …..I started out when I first received it in the mail and got discouraged so of coursed I just set it in a corner and left it…….So today I decided to get to work on it! I have hypoglycemia and every time I work out hard my sugar drops . I hope I can stick with this …I am 48 years old and need some confidence 🙂 I am not going to take the supplement just because I had some problems with other detox systems……..Has anyone lost inches and weight while not taking the supplements? Thanks Linda

    • Brooke says:

The supplements that you can get through Fluidity are an all natural supplement. I have been taking them for a month now and have lost 8lbs. They don’t make me feel weird or anything since everything in them is natural / herbal… No crazy chemicals, like other detox systems. It’s helped me… I would recommend it. With ingredients like garlic, broccoli, cilantro, green tea… I don’t think you would have any problems. Plus they are Gluten free… If you have any gluten allergies, or just choose not to eat gluten products (like I do). I hope that helps you Linda! Best of luck to you!

  43. KATIE says:

My name is Katie. I’m 34 years old. I have been working out for years now. This past May (2012) I had a horrible headache within 10 minutes of my workout. The next day I had a CT scan which came back with good results (THEY DIDN’T CATCH IT). Long story short, I was sick for 6 weeks with headache, double vision, eye droopyness, problems standing, walking, and sinus issues. Finally after 5 different dr’s I found out I had a leaking brain aneurysm, even though I was told I had sinus infections, allergies, sciatic problems, pulled hamstrings…If the dr’s would have taken a closer look at the CT scan in my arteries, they would have noticed a leaking aneurysm from day 1. I had brain coiling surgery at the end of June 2012. I am now trying to recover. I had been walking 4 miles daily just to get some exercise. My dr’s are telling me to listen to my body for working out. I’m not suppose to raise my heart beat too much because that might give me pressure in my head. I don’t want my blood pressure to
elevate, which is very important I can’t put my head below my heart because that makes my head throb. I did order Fluidity and have been doing it for 3 weeks now. The intermediate every other day and the seat and thigh the days I don’t do the intermediate with walking on the treadmill at 3.8 for 300 calories per day.

I am a single mother that works two jobs to stay afloat. Working out helped me control my anxiety. And now I’m not suppose to stress because that could elevate my blood pressure…
I need to find a workout program to stay fit. Do you think this will work? I have been researching this alot and still have not found any answers. This is so frustrating to me. I am 5’6″ and 135 lbs. I would love to go back to about the 120 mark…toned.

Also, if you have any other ideas for some workout information or different dvd’s through Fluidity, I just want to get toned again. This has been an extremely difficult year…I just want to feel good about myself again.

  44. Brooke says:

Hello to you all! I started my Fluidity workout 1 month ago including the detox, flush, and fat burn supplements. I am 5’7″ and was 148lbs and a size 10. (the heaviest I have ever been…even durning pregnancy). I do my Fluidity workout 2-4 times a week and in the 1 month that I have done this, I have lost 8lbs! My goal is to be between 125-130. I am really excited that this is making a difference that I can feel and see! Thank you so much!
    P.S. so far… I am still awful at the pretzel… I’m just not that coordinated i think… But, I think I can!
    🙂

  45. ginamaria says:

just received my FB but not sure if im doing the exercises correctly. Is there a site that can show the proper form to a beginner?

  46. Karen says:

I have had my Fluidity Bar for about a year and loved using it. However, life eventually took over and I have not done the exercises for several months. I would like to begin using the bar again and would love to team up with some of you for encouragement. My husband is going to be working out of state for a few weeks and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get into shape and suprise him with a new me when he returns!! I can use all the help I can get!! Thanks!

    • ginamaria says:

I would be more then happy as a matter of fact I could use some encouragement myself. What city are you in?

      • Karen says:

I am from Hills, Iowa – just a small town south of Iowa City. Where are you from? I see from an earlier post that you just started with Fluidity. Do you love it so far? My plan is to do fluidity 3 times a week starting with the basic dvd and to do Zumba on opposite days for my cardio. I have around 50 lbs. that I would like to lose but I know toning my muscles is just as important as losing the weight. What is your fitness plan? I know we can do this!! I am so excited to get started!

      • Susan'sFluidityToo says:

        Me too…

I just started a couple of weeks ago
and would really like to connect for some encouragement and accountability, too…

        (in the LA area)

      • Karen says:

Sounds great! I saw from an earlier post that you had an injury. I hope you are recovering okay from that. It should help that there is no impact with fluidity so just take it easy and don’t overdue it right away.

I have my fluidity bar set up in our basement and of course, the TV down there just went out. So, I hope to get that replaced soon so I can get started!! Keep up the good work ladies! I would enjoy hearing about your fitness goals.

      • ginamaria says:

I am in raleigh NC. I plan on starting back sunday feb 24 then every other day with a salsa video in between I am looking to lose about 50 []pounds as well. Hopefully we can encourage each other despite the fact that we are far away.

      • Karen says:

Absolutely. I hope to get my TV replaced tomorrow so then I can also get started.

  47. Susan'sFluidityToo says:

Good luck on getting the replacement for your TV.
And, I need to lose 50 pounds, too.

You are right about taking it easy, after the injury. I am in this for the long — no rush to take on more than I can comfortably perform. One-step-at-a-time 🙂

    Re-starting on Monday:
The Fluidity Bar will remain in set up position. My plan is to do “Beginner” for 2-3 days per week
    — Walking on the mini-trampoline the alternate days — for a total of 4-6 days per week.

And, don’t forget to get plenty of SLEEP !!

    • Karen says:

I can only guess that you are referring to the time stamps on my comments. I really am not up at all hours of the night. Right now, it is only 7:50pm. We will see what the time stamp is when I finish. 🙂 Still have not replaced the TV. I have been crazy busy at work but hope to slow down within the next week or so. Regardless of how busy I get though, I want to make sure that I make time for ME. I have two boys, 15 and 7, and I have not really made time for me since before they were born. But I know if I take the time to do so and to start feeling better about myself that I will be even a better Mom.

I am glad that you are taking it slowing with the arm/shoulder. I am confident that as your muscles develop that you will start to feel better. Maybe I can get a TV set up by Monday and we can start together.

  48. holly says:

I just got my fluidity bar and the detox/flush/fat burn pills in the mail. I did my first workout this evening and can feel muscles I haven’t felt in years. The instructions on the detox weren’t very clear. I’ve never done this before and am curious if wer are supposed to be taking all 3 pills at the same time? Any advice would be greatlh appreciated!

    • You may take all 3 supplements at the same time. We recommend that you take them in the morning and early afternoon as the Fat Burner does have caffeine. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

  49. Tiffany Meredith says:

Finally got my FB last Tuesday morning. Did my first exercise on the beginner DVD Weds and then again on Friday. Did it again this Monday and today. I’m planning on doing the FB on M, W, & F. So, far I’m pleased with it and actually look forward to my fluidity days. However, I would like to know if it is okay to switch back and forth from Michelle to Winter? I find sometimes with following Winter that it is too easy (leg exercises) while other exercises, like the abs are hard. Is it okay to switch back and forth during the same 30 minutes? Has anyone else run into this problem?

    • regina says:

Hello Tiffany. I have been using my FB for 2 weeks 3 days a week and I also switch on certain excercises from beginner to intermediate. I have found that the excercise where your back s flat against the board and you lift your legs is very difficult for me, even at the beginner stage, some days I can do it but if I take more then a 2 day break it is very difficult. I also started to incorporate Billy Blanks cardio fitness to my routine on alternate days about a week ago to see if this helps with weight loss.
      Good Luck

    • Susan'sFluidityToo says:

      Hi Tiffany,
Some of my muscles are more flexible than others, so, switching back and forth between Michelle and Winter is exactly what works for me.
      Hope this helps.

  50. Jennifer R says:

I received my Fluidity Bar last week. Last evening I completed my forth beginers session. I must say I love the way I feel after each session. I feel i’ve worked muscles I didn’t know I had. I weighed myself this morning and I gained 3.5 pounds, but I noticed I lost .5″ on my waist and hips. Is it normal to gain weight at first and if so when should the weight loss begin?

  51. elaine says:

Hi I just ordered my fluidity bar this morning, ive currently been doing weight training for the past three years but I want the long lean look, how often do you recommend doing the videos?

    • Valerie Porter says:

I’d follow their program,…3 times a week, every other day! You will definitely see results,…I’ve been realisticly patient,…eating better,…actually anxiously looking forward to Fluidity day,…and then the workout seems to go so fast!! It’s actually caused me to change a lifestyle,…not just something I’m doing to get ready for summer or a special event! 🙂

  52. joni5532 says:

i have been using the Fluidity bar for a little over a month. I can definitely tell a difference already! After years of doing NO exercise I think I am progressing very well. Having said that, I must say that I absolutely cannot lift my legs off the mat when doing the flat back exercises! I still do the exercises, but my legs never leave the mat. Anyone else have this problem, and will I eventually be able to?

  53. Lillian Seymour says:

Hi Everybody, my name is Lillian, and I just ordered Fluidity, I used to be a professional dancer in Broadway shows, but that was a long time ago, now I’m 63 and look like a “Mountain Gorilla” I was so impressed by the commercial, especially about only having to do it only 2-3 times a week,(since it burns calories for 48hrs!!!!! now I see that in between those days do your cardio, why do they not s
ay this on the commercial, I’ll do it, and I would like to really get in shape again, and be strong,I miss my dancer body, but man even in my 20’s ballet classes we’re ass kickers, Oh well wish me luck, it certainly can do no harm.

  54. sbugnet says:

I received my bar this week and have done the work out twice. Feels great! I’m working on losing weight. I’m curious, about how many calories does the “beginner” workout burn?

    • Diane says:

ALOHA ALL!!!! I just ordered my Fluidity Bar and I’m sooooooo excited and cant wait to receive it!!! I have always enjoyed ballet and any kinds of dance… and through the the years I’ve gotten away from it… I started out almost 28 years of marriage ago..at 93lbs… and now.. well I’m too embarassed to even write the number but trust me its even more than I weighed being pregnant 16years ago! As of late I am very into health and fitness.. and currently finishing my Personal Trainer Certification and I saw this ad for the FB and decided to order it for a Mother’s Day present to myself… !!! I cant wait to write my complete success story right here!!! Im so glad that they can deliver to Hawaii.. Many Mahalos to Fluidity Bar!!! ❤

  55. Cindy says:

Just got the product and began the beginner DVD today. My question is it the norm to do the DVD’s 3 times per week and on alternate days doing some form of cardio (elliptical, walk/run)?

    • We generally recommend that you allow 48 hours between Fluidity workouts to allow your muscles adequate recovery time; doing so will actually maximize your results! As Fluidity is an anaerobic workout, we recommend that you do aerobic or cardio activity on your non-Fluidity days. We recommend walking, running or swimming as these are natural forms of movement and complementary to Fluidity’s long, lean results. If you’d like to substitute with an elliptical, we recommend that you set it to low resistance and do half the workout forward and half in reverse. Lastly, remember that proper form is key to Fluidity so continue to challenge yourself in the movement, but only to the point that you can still maintain proper form!

  56. Reba Sundberg says:

My Fluidity Bar arrived yesterday. I was too nervous to try opening the huge box until this morning. I am 66 years old, overweight, with severe arthritis in shoulders and affecting most of my joints. I am happy to tell you I didn’t have trouble getting the Bar unboxed, rolled down my carpeted hallway and ready to be set up. I was a little worried that this would be beyond me, but no – apparently not 🙂 Now to try exercising with it. What I notice immediately is that it is a beautiful piece of equipment – made with fine materials and good design – not one of those ugly As Seen on TV things. I researched this as well as I could before buying and I am not disappointed. I am so pleased to see that this was built beautifully and to last.

    • LeeLuu says:

I agree with you Reba! It is a beautiful unit. I am 65 this year and Just got my Fluidity last week. My over weight self is stiffer and weaker than I realized, but I can still do the basic moves. I am sure it will get better quickly. Much luck and encouragement to you!

      • reeves6194 says:

I am waiting for mine to come. 52, 250lbs, hoping the bar looks as sturdy as it appears. What do you think?

      • Reba Sundberg says:

It is incredibly sturdy – you won’t have a problem with that. Good luck!

  57. veronica says:

Is there a site I can find the fluidity challenge?

  58. SAlmendarez says:

I received my FB today and just completed my first workout. It is much harder than it appears but that is to be expected with anything that gives you results. I was able to complete most exercises except for the ab workout where you sit on the floor with your back flat against the mat and lift the ball with your legs. My legs are not coming off that mat with my back flat against the mat. I tried really hard. Am I doing something wrong?! Other than that I love it so far!!!

  59. KATIE says:

Does anyone do these workouts anymore? And if so, are you getting good results? I started doing them again and wondering how the results are?

    Thanks!

  60. Jill S. says:

~ I understand their is a Fluidity Fitness Certification 2014 program just launched! Looking to connect with anyone who has or is currently in the process of receiving this fabulous certification! Cheers to all of the Fluidity fans out there ~ By far . . the best workout!

I purchased the fluidity bar several months ago and haven’t used I since day 1. Someone offered to buy it which I was considering since I haven’t used it since I bought it. I went to the webpage to get the price to negotiate with the buyer. Now I wonder if I should keep it and “see” if it really will work. I am 56 and 70lbs overweight – it is past time for me to get physically fit. Is the fluidity bar really going to work for me or should I let sell it???

    • SusanFluid30 says:

Anybody Fluidity still out there? I’m restarting my Fluidity this week. My body is craving it. Will alternate an indoor walking routine in between Fluidity days. I have 30 pounds to lose. It’s still 10 weeks until real summertime hits, so we still have time ladies. I’m 47years old and need a Fluidity buddy because community support really helps. Will get up and measure in the morning. Inch loss is a huge motivator for me.

      • julie says:

Susan, how is your progress going? I accidentally found this doing a net search for barre. I am a little disappointed that there isn’t more community activity as I was hoping to hear more involvement so I can decide if this is for me and really works

  62. Debbie says:

Hello, I just bought the fluidity bar. I have my workouts planned starting Sunday. December 2015 I bought a nutribullet and started making shakes trying to get my vitamins and inside healthy. Buying more organic and healthy foods. I want to blend the exercise with shakes and try to have the body that I had before. oh that sounded bad, let me clarify I meant the healthy body that I had before not young. I’m 47 getting ready to turn 48 this year and by age 50 I would like to have the healthy strong body that’ll take me into the next half of my life.

  63. Gladys McIntyre says:

So excited to finally have fluidity and put the DVD into the player and it doesn’t come up as every other DVD I’ve owned.. It comes up with a bunch of choices , settings, etc that I don’t understand. I’m so disappointed!
